History of Cloud Computing

A story of cloud computing began in 1960 when "empty space" also called Intergalactic computer introduced. The cloud like shape of cloud computing represent the telephony schematics. The idea of cloud computing was introduced by JCR Licklider. In 1969, he was responsible for the Advance Research Project Agency(ARPANET). This project laid the foundation of Cloud Computing. 

Cloud Computing achieved its first milestone when SalesForce took place in 1999. The headquarter of Saleforce is located in San Francisco. Cloud computing reduced the cost of  access servers, storage, databases and applications running on servers. Nowadays, internet have been spreading its roots all over the world. Internet is playing the lead role behind the success story of Cloud Computing. In 19th centuary, only the big firms, organizations and research firms have access the cloud computing but nowadays anyone can buy the cloud computing services from anywhere in the world with just sufficient knowledge of Internet and Computer. Competition between cloud computing companies are hot. Many cloud companies like Google, IBM, Microsoft, Cloud Sigma provide the cloud services to their client on demand. But still Amazon Web Services are remain on top and no other cloud company even near to Amazon Web Services. 

In todays world, major Cloud Computing Companies are Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, IBM, Digital Ocean but Amazon annually turnover of this year was approximately $177 billion. Future of Cloud Computing is Bright.
